WOOO HOOOOOO November 24th 2006 my 1 year old son took to the ice for the first time
we laced him up in his size 3 skates and he stood on the rubber matts then walked a few steps. so we then took him to the end of the ice and placed him on the ice...............Where he stood completely up right as if on dry land. he then groaned and skated in to my arms like he was walking. What a moment!!!! He skated better then most first time skaters. was it low center mass, was it the kendrew legacy of hockey living in him ( if you have ever seen me play you know that is not it), was it his strong leggs, I'm not sure but it was funny, awesome, and one of the best moments of my Life. So Brandon, here's to you lil man. Good skate!

Hey Jamie, it's been awhile..last time we hung out I think you were counseling at YGI CAMP. Rosh and I were in your cabin. Anyway, I ran across your blog from Kents. I'm up in New Jersey now working at a church out here doing student ministry. I got married this past July and moved out here to start in August. we're taking our newly adopted 2 year old for a skate this weekend. my plan is that he'll be the first full blooded ethiopian in the nhl! awesome post man.
